As a nice Valentine’s Day surprise, Archetype Entertainment has officially revealed a first look at a companion that players will be fighting alongside in the upcoming sci-fi action RPG Exodus. So let’s take a look at Elise Charroux!
Elise Charroux
Elise Charroux, pictured above in a sick semi-organic-looking mech, is one of the first companions that has been revealed by Exodus developer Archetype Entertainment, second only to Tom Vargas who was revealed in the game’s announcement at The Game Awards.
She’s a tough-as-nails mercenary that players will fight alongside in the game. Here’s the official description of Elise:
“A blunt, no-nonsense ‘Sleeper’ from 23rd century Earth, Elise is a highly experienced weapons expert and former gang member. When not working to improve the lives of her fellow Sleepers, Elise usually hangs out at the cantina in Borderline, catching up on the latest weapons and combat tech while pushing down any feelings of time lost in cryostasis with her sarcasm. Elise brings the muscle and an entire armory of her own to any fight, thanks to her massive armored mechsuit equipped with dual miniguns, shoulder-mounted grenade launchers and micro-missile barrages.”

I’m pumped to see what kind of stuff Elise can do with her mechsuit, right off the bat she seems like a run-and-gun one woman army, and I’m here for it.
If companions in Exodus work the way I think they might — which, given the emphasis on Elise’s weapons, I think it’s likely — players will hopefully be able to take advantage of these companion abilities and make use of Elise’s shoulder-mounted grenade launchers.
Alongside Elise and Tom, it looks like there will be three more companions that will be revealed sooner or later — or they won’t be, and we’ll just have to wait to see who they are when the game comes out.
